Griffin lost the starting spot in Washington three times over the next three seasons and finally signed with Cleveland in , where he spent most of the season on injured reserve with a fractured bone in his left shoulder. He still holds the distinction as the most recent starting quarterback to lead the Browns to a victory on Dec.
He injured his right shoulder in the third game of the season, ending a starting streak of 57 consecutive games. Luck finished his fourth pro season on injured reserve with a lacerated kidney, played through the continual pain in his right shoulder in then opted for surgery on a partially torn labrum in January The recovery cost him all of last season. The Colts missed the playoffs all three of those years and now he's finally back, looking to find his pre-surgery form.
For him to be back out here has to be a joy for him. He definitely is smart enough to handle the pressure of being a 1 draft pick at the QB position. The thing that makes Cam good is his work ethic and desire to win. It is actually the trait about Cam that surprised me the most. Way to early to compare Newton and Gabbert. Newton has the same QB coach who made David Garrard look great. Newton has Steve Smith, Gabbert has…. Barkley is the best QB in college football, hands down.
He has been professionally coached in a pro-style offense since his 9th grade in high school. This is coming teams who want Luck to fall to them. Make him a receiver and it might help. If the Colts take Griffin, who takes Luck???? That guy that keeps cheerleading for Tannehill in his comments needs his computer taken away from him.
Ryan Tannehill? That guy has a better future as a wide receiver than he does as a quarterback. Way to make virtually the same post as you did on CFT.
Refer to point A. I love that some poor, deluded Aggie fan comes on here and pumps Ryan Tannehill as the second best QB prospect in the draft. The Aggies were touted as one of the best teams at the beginning of the season.
A great quarterback leads his team to victory, not mediocrity. RG3 had a better year than Luck and was rewarded. But, RG3 is a little small which potentially makes him one dimensional and leading me to believe he will get hammered in the pros. His speed is not in the class of Vick. Vick could not be stopped in college. It would be no surprise to me to see Luck either sit behind and watch or get hammered, like Bradford is today.
I think Bradford is the true comparison with Luck and the far better QB. For those that think RG3 is a little small. Also, RG3 would outrun Michael Vick easily. He was just hundredths away from being on the Olympic team. He set Texas state high school records in the hurdles and almost broke the national record. Vick did not have that type of speed. Oh and as a bonus, he was 7th in his HS graduating class, finished HS in 3.

In other words, Griffin still has his training wheels on. Luck has his license. What is it, Mike, all of RG3's Subway ads? Reilly, you single-celled organism. Griffin leads the NFL in completion percentage! He's third in the league in passer rating!
Luck is second to last! Oh, you mean NFL passer rating, the most useless stat in football? The year-old fossil that was invented, literally, on a slide rule? The one that doesn't even consider running or fumbles or time of game or score? Yeah, I know that stat. That stat is the whole problem. RG3 kills in that stat because he's nibbled his way to a league-leading Given the way the Redskins have babied him, Katy Perry in heels could throw for 60 percent.
More than 20 percent of RG3's passes this season haven't even traveled across the line of scrimmage. Only 6 percent of Luck's haven't. If you do a cannonball and I do a triple backflip with a McTwist and we both get straight 9s, whose dive was better? I don't blame the Skins for babying Griffin. Why wouldn't they? He's America's baby. Mike Shanahan games as a head coach in the NFL has a good enough team to do that. It beat the New York Giants twice last year.
The Colts have Luck and Reggie Wayne and just about nobody else. In it, owner Jim Irsay cleaned house, just as he did in ours. Irsay set about looking for replacements at all his newly vacated positions, eventually hiring Philadelphia's young Director of Player Personnel, Ryan Grigson, as the GM. While the majority felt that Luck was the right pick, there was a strong contingent that was really in favor of what Griffin would bring to the table.
He seemed like a star on the rise, with the kind of leadership and dynamic play-making ability that was sure to turn a franchise around, and quickly. He confounded defenses who simply were not sure how to deal with his dual threat capabilities and landed himself the Offensive Rookie of the Year Honors. Unfortunately, just like in our universe, a talent-poor roster meant the Colts would only go as far as Griffin could carry them. While the start of his rookie season galvanized the team with the discovery that Coach Pagano had leukemia, the review of the season showed that Griffin was simply taking too many hits and the roster was full of major holes.
